Footage From the Title Shoot

Just a short clip from the title shoot, mostly of Emmitt wiggling dancing in front of a green screen. I think stuff like this is cool, though so I thought I'd share :D

Original (along with clips of the other pairs) from OnTheRedCarpet.com can be found HERE.

5 Questions with Emmitt Smith

ABC sat down with the All Stars and asked them about the new season.

Here are the highlights:

"I love to compete in everything I do and testing my skills on the dance floor is no different.  I’m a little older now but feel I haven’t lost a step so it will be fun to see where I stand with the rest of the some of the top dancers from the show’s history."
"And from a competitive standpoint, I’m ready to rise to any challenge. It’s in my blood to compete. When a true competitor hears the drum beat, he has to respond and rise to the challenge."
"I just want to get better in every aspect of the competition. I want to strive for better techniques, style, everything --- my competitive edge drives me to keep working towards perfection."
" I plan on practicing hard like I did in 2006 and bringing the same energy to the dance floor each and every night. I just hope all my fans, including those from 2006, can rally again as I’m going to need every vote I can get given the other great names in the show."

Oooooooohhhhh! Sounds like he really means business. Time to start gearing up to VOTE!

Emmitt's ES22 Reebok Sneakers to Be Re-Released

According to DrJays.com, we can expect Emmitt's signature kicks to be in stores sometime in December.

" It features Reebok’s Viz-Hex cushioning system, a turf-inspired rubber outsole, and a Dallas Cowboys colorway that fans of America’s Team will immediately recognize and flock to...They’ll be dropping them in a variety of new colorways, too, so those of us who aren’t Cowboys fans can cop a pair."

Tonight's dance is a good one... (Please excuse the election results!)

Season 15 Partner Photos Released

The partner photos were released today! Hooray! I love these because it's our first real look at everyone (especially the competition).

Let's take a look at Season 3's while we're at it:

They looked so innocent back then. Now they know what they're in for...

Week 9 - Ballroom Round - Waltz *SEMIFINALS*

"I don't like to lose." - Emmitt

9,10,10. The couples got to choose their dances this week as a matter of strategy. Emmitt
&Cheryl chose the Waltz and Cha Cha Cha to show diversity.

I love the quote from Emmitt and how carefully thought-out their dances were - to show the diversity between the Waltz and the Cha Cha Cha (which is coming up tomorrow!!!) shows that he is in it to win it.

Week 8 - Latin Round - Rumba

(For some reason, Blogger wouldn't let me post the exact same video that I tweeted, which annoys me because I'm a perfectionist like that, but we'll all have to live with it...sigh)

How great was that Rumba?! That dance scored 9,10,10. I can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves this season...

Bruno thinks that the viewers at home will all faint, Len wishes he could give them an 11, and Carrie Ann wants to  trade places with Cheryl.

Cheryl Poses for Viva Glam Cover

Today Cheryl shared via Twitter that she is shooting the cover of Viva Glam magazine, then posted these pics on Instagram. Can't wait for the issue to come out...she looks gorgeous in these twitter pics!

Week 8 - Ballroom Round - Foxtrot

Three Important Things About This Video.
1. This is from the first of the special Halloween Episodes (which are so much fun).
2. Emmitt meets Cheryl's parents who are so completely adorable.
3. Cheryl has a ballroom in her house. Which makes complete sense, but is still amazing to see.

"Pursue your dreams with unrelenting commitment."

Annie Barrett is a staff writer for Entertainment Weekly and EW.com (if you don't already know who she is, if you do, sorry!). I really enjoy her DWTS recaps and such, so you might see a lot of links to her articles on here :)

Having said that, I take all of these preseason lists and prediction thingies with a grain of salt because you never know what kinds of sparkly wrenches the producers are going to throw in. It's all for fun.

I think that it is interesting to note that Emmitt did move up from her original list partly due to being paired with Cheryl (like I've said before: DREAM TEAM). Also, I don't think she factored in TEAM EMMITT :D

Cheryl Burke interviews Apolo Ohno on Access Hollywood

Cheryl tried to get Apolo to commit to competing in the 2014 Olympics when she co-hosted Access Hollywood on Thursday, but Apolo remained undecided. He said that he would probably submit his name in the pool, but that doesn't mean that he will be skating for Team USA for sure.

Turning to DWTS talk (you know, the important stuff!) he said that he asked Julianne Hough "a couple of times" to come back for DWTS All Stars, but she is too busy filming.

Week 7 - Latin Round: Mambo

I think Bruno said it best: "The beast is unleashed!" Carrie Ann changed her nickname for Emmitt from Twinkle Toes to Sir Shimmy and Len hailed it as the best dance of the season so far. 10, 10, 9

Emmitt Reacts to Chad Johnson Scandal, Talks DWTS All Stars

The Insider asked Emmitt his thoughts about the recent Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson scandal...but of course I'm way more interested in the end of the video where they talk about DWTS...

"I don't think that one person that is on this particular show this year is coming into this whole event thinking that they're coming in second. So if that's the way they're thinking, then why shouldn't we be thinking the same way? And I know it's not going to be easy...there have been and there are some great dancers on the show this season. And so at the end of the day we know we have our work cut out for us. So we're not taking it lightly. We're not going to sit back and relax and try to coast this thing in and say our fans will get us through. No. We don't believe in that. We believe in doing our part."

How I Met Your Mother

Barney: "But you're Emmitt Smith, you're a football player, it's Super Bowl Sunday, what could possibly be more important than football?"

Emmitt: "Dance, my friend. Dance."

Who remembers Emmitt's cameo on How I Met Your Mother?

I couldn't find a YouTube link, but I did find one to Hulu.

CLICK HERE to see his scene with Neil Patrick Harris.

Week 7 - Ballroom Round: Waltz

The Waltz earned Emmitt his first 10 of the season, along with two 9s for a total of 28. No wonder it's his favorite dance!

Also, I'm pretty sure Bruno called him the "Lord of the Manor, " which is an AWESOME nickname...Emmitt is prone to nicknames this season.

Louis Van Amstel sizes up the DWTS AllStars

Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke
Season 3, Winner
Claim to Fame: Former Dallas Cowboys Star
Louis says: "That personality was just so contagious. Everybody loved Emmitt and he beat probably the best dancer on that season, Mario Lopez... It’s about personality, mixed in with great, fun dancing. And that’s what Emmitt brings to the table... Sports athletes have an advantage in learning ability just because their physical condition, but Emmitt has such soul when he danced. He really wasn’t that spicy out there. He had soul, he had such musicality... That’s his secret weapon."

Week 6 - Jive and Group Disco

The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders helped Emmitt and Cheryl earn two 8s and a 9 for an awesome Jive.

And here's the Group Disco for kicks :)

I can't believe how smooth Emmitt and Cheryl are with lifts. I wish lifts were allowed all season!

"[Emmitt] had that absolute calmness dancing, and he and Cheryl were a special pairing."
- Exec producer Conrad Green

Week 5 - Samba

Cheryl: You can shake, right?
Emmitt: We'll see.

27 put Emmitt and Cheryl in a 3-way tie for the top spot.

Of course, Carrie Ann Inaba had the best comment: 'I have nothing to say but "WOOOOO!"

Week 4 - Paso Doble

Week 4's Paso earned another 24 for Chemmitt (Emmryl?) Anything less and I think Emmitt would've been face to face w/that bull!

Week 3 - Tango

Although this was their lowest scoring dance of the season (and was that a lift?) the fans rallied and showed how strong Team Emmitt is!

Week 2 - Quickstep

The Week 2 Quickstep scored triple 8s again and showed that Emmitt is just as smooth with Standard dances as he is with Latin.

P.S. Week 2 is also the first time we hear "Twinkle toes," the nickname started by Carrie Ann Inaba.

Week 1 - Cha Cha Cha

He scored 8, 8, 8 his first week out and got a standing O from the audience. It was on from the beginning!

"When we respond appropriately to our fears and overcome challenges, we become stronger. It's a new week: become stronger starting TODAY."
